In past State & Federal elections in our region the 'Greens' to the best of my knowledge have never received any more than approximately 10% - 13% of the vote. So why do the policies & ideals of this MINORITY political party control the Yarra Ranges Council? Its time to RESTORE THE BALANCE. I urge voters in the October Yarra Ranges Council elections to really take note of the Candidates and what they stand for. Above all, make your vote count TO RESTORE THE BALANCE!

Jacqui Commans Absolutely Jim, and all of us associated over in the healesville and surrounds will be helping to do just that..fantastic that there is a very negative forum for the Shire in both newspapers (local) today, this is the voice of the people speaking up and out..hear it loud and clear YR Shire!!!

"Cr Warren said people would think the levy was a council charge. The council already copped flak for the State Government's waste levy and the Federal Government's carbon tax."

Comment:Surely it could be stated on the on the rate notice from the Shire that this FSL will be passed onto the State Government in full to fund our local CFA units.  Just make it clear on the rate notice.  NO BIG DEAL!

It's a win to all of us that have been paying insurance in the past!
