SUMMARY
· The proposal is for construction of a second single-storey dwelling at the rear
of the existing dwelling and removal of two trees.
· The total site area is 910m² and the proposed dwelling density of 1:455m².
· The proposal is consistent with the relevant clauses of the Yarra Ranges
Planning Scheme as the development will integrate with the neighbourhood
character and it will not result in a significant loss of amenity to adjoining
properties.
· The application was advertised and a total of 27 objections were received on
the grounds of neighbourhood character, lack of infrastructure, increased
traffic, lack of open space and landscaping, loss of privacy and property
devaluation.
· The application is recommended for approval and a Notice of decision to grant
a permit be issued.
