ALMOST 3000 new houses will go on the market within months as a big new suburb takes shape in the city's outer south.
With Melbourne bursting at the seams, Planning Minister Justin Madden will unveil a master plan to build three shopping precincts, more than 6700 homes, three schools and two kindergartens in the Cranbourne area.
The scheme is expected to house up to 20,000 people in the next 15 years with the subdivision permits already approved for the first 3000 homes.
