Until now, the $375 million fund of public donations to the Red Cross was only available to people whose primary place of residence was lost or damaged in the fires.
“The (bushfire fund) panel can confirm that there will be payments made to people who had a non-primary place of residence,” Ms Tuckey said.
“It’s about making sure we help places like Marysville rebuild.”
