On 14 October 2008 Council adopted the Domestic Animal Management Plan. The plan proposes the introduction of the compulsory desexing of cats.
The purpose of this report is to provide a detailed background to the proposal for compulsory desexing of cats and an implementation plan.
It is proposed that Council resolve that it will not register a cat for the first time unless the cat is desexed.
