But last week, Mr Guy’s office confirmed that residents’ submissions
would not be taken into consideration. Mr Guy asked Manningham, and
other councils that sit outside growth areas, to identify anomalies
within the urban growth boundary by November 28.
‘‘The Minister
has continued to say this is a council led process. Any concerns
residents might have on that regard should be directed to their elected
councillors,’’ Mr Guy’s spokesman Nicholas McGowan said.
Council submissions for the Review of Urban Growth Boundary Anomalies
Outside Growth Areas will be considered by an independent panel by March
next year.
Comment: I assume this applies to our Shire as well. Let's hope so!
