Over the past year the
Coldstream 2020 group have suggested it was time for Coldstream to expand its
UGB.
We conducted a survey,
Christine Fyffe MP conducted a survey but more importantly you, through the Shire conducted an extensive survey.
All three surveys, including
yours, showed that it was time for Coldstream to EXPAND.
At the last Council meeting a
motion by Cr Cox was put forward,
1. Supports the retention of the Urban Growth
Boundary without amendment.
2. Authorises officers to write to the Minister for Planning and all submitters
advising them of this position.
Given that the residents of Coldstream
wanted and expansion why did you vote for this motion? Why did you not add an amendment to exclude
Coldstream?
Given that thousands of ratepayer
dollars has been spent on getting an external report, which was just about
finished, why did you not wait for the details of this report?
When will the people who paid
for this report (ratepayers) actually see it?
