Mercury plummets as Melbourne shivers through chilly night.

The mercury plummeted to -1.4C in Coldstream, in the Yarra Valley about 2.30am.

 Comment: Would be great if we made some other news rather than sub zero weather.

For example:

Coldstream Station re-opens and has a park-n-ride to help congestion at Lilydale.

Coldstream expands its UGB (Urban Growth Boundary) making housing more affordable.
