MORE than 2500 students face uncertainty over the future of
their education after Swinburne University announced it would close its
Lilydale campus and axe 240 jobs.
Courses in automotive, building, cookery, floristry, food processing,
government, hospitality, leisure, local government, massage, public
safety, recreation and tourism will no longer be offered at Lilydale.
Opposition education spokesman James Merlino said the Lilydale closure was caused by $290 million in TAFE funding cuts
