Photograpahs from the past: Solved

Regarding the old photo's of Coldstream. Both photo's were from Maroondah Hwy, looking north toward Coombe Cottage (Melba Highway intersection).

The first photo shows the Coldstream Hall on the right, then the Sportsmans Arms Hotel. The building on the LHS is the old shop (Corner of Station St) and Kneebones shop (where Roadrunners is now). actually where the old servo was i have been told,

The house straight ahead is where the Brewery is now located on the corner of Killara Rd.

This house was originally on the corner of Killara but was later moved back to where the brewery is now, when Maroondah highway was widened. This building was also destroyed by fire.

Looks like we had lots of fires in the past, the Coldstream hall, the Hotel and the general store were all destroyed by fire!

The second photo is basically from the same location, off to the west side of the road (LHS).
