Coldstream CFA gets serious about road safety lessons

EMERGENCY workers sick of seeing lives wasted in fatal car crashes have organised a graphic driver education program to change the attitudes of young drivers.

Coldstream CFA has organised next week’s free road awareness program, aimed at 16 to 24-year-olds in the Coldstream-Gruyere area.


Coldstream CFA captain John Fenton - the catalyst behind the program - said emergency services workers, as well as the community, had just had enough.

“Basically it’s about saying that enough is enough in terms of the carnage that is occurring on roads across the state,” said Mr Fenton, who has been with the CFA for almost 29 years.
