3 MEAT, MEAT, MEAT!
THE Little Creek Cattle Company is a butcher shop hidden in one of the world's most unappealing shopping centres. Ignore the architectural gloom and rejoice at grass-fed, dry-aged beef from owner Craig Jenkins's Uncle David's farm nearby. Also consider the truly excellent lamb from Killara Rise and some of the best Berkshire pork in the country from McIvor Farm Foods. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the product.
Mon to Fri 7am-6pm, Sat 7am-2pm, shop 13 North Gateway (just off the Maroondah Highway), Coldstream, 9739 0438.

Hello, I purchased Killara Rise Lamb at a local farmers market. The standard was low, the lamb pieces were over 60% fat, when the fat was removed little was left. The mince when cooked let out over 2 cups of fat also, for a 500g pack. I looked for a review site where I could let others know and this was all I could find.
What a horrible dissapointment Killara Rise Lamb is.

Very friendly people work there anyway...
I travel from Greenvale to buy lamb there my Wife and kids simply don't wanna eat lamb from supermarkets any more.
One hour drive from Greenvale worth it,just came back.
So I agree with David Dent comment rather say nothing than untrue crap.

i go to IGA at Yarra Glen to get my Lamb cutlets and im happy with them so far, whereas i went off my lamb after getting mutton from Woolies and Coles...their quality jumps around too much with one week great next week terrible. For a guy coming all the way from Greenvale to Coldstream says heaps for the service of consistent product quality of their produce which also helps to bring more potential business to the area. Sometimes silly competitors try to be smart...but if the supplier continues to provide good service and good product Word of Mouth works better than ads.

I'm so lucky to only have to drive 1/2 hour to get to this place Their eye fillet steak is to die for. There is no way to cook this wrong. From Blue to well done it melts in your mouth. I've never had a meat from here that wasn't consistently awesome.
