REAL RATE INCREASE

I have asked Glenn Patterson the following question to be answered at tonights Council meeting.

At the Council meeting tonight can you read out and answer the following question?

It has been reported by the local papers and the Shire that the average Rate increase is 6.9%.

I believe this is not a true indication of the rise. I would like to know what the weighted average is rather than the simple average.

By definition weighted average is an average that takes into account the proportional relevance of each component rather than treating each component equally.
