Six months on...
Six months after bushfires devastated parts of the Shire,
council staff across a range of departments are working
hard to help people rebuild their homes and their
communities.
The shire has employed a dedicated Recovery Team
which is responsible for coordinating the shire’s recovery
effort across the areas of temporary accommodation,
counselling and case management, projects and events
and material aid and support for volunteers.
Other departments have also dedicated staff to work
in the area of bushfire recovery, to ensure they are
informed about the latest developments to assist
resident inquiries and fast-track applications.
