Professor Hugh Lauder - Department of Education - University of Bath

I recomend readers look up Professor Lauder up on his 4 part YouTube series
How the Global Auction for Jobs is Breaking the Promise of Education

www.bath.ac.uk/education/people/profiles/hlauder.html

Staff Profiles. Professor Hugh Lauder. Professor of Education and Political Economy,. Research Interests. Political economy of skill formation; Educational policy ...

In my opinion this Professor outlines why our Universities may be coming to the end of importance in the global economy pecking order. why they and their political supporters are still looking inward and not looking outside and the threats East Asia is now having on our system of education and what it will offer our student in the future. Professor does give clues as to how we should react...hes on a tour of Australia at moment and appeared on ABC this morning.

I recommend our political and education policy makers and administrators look this guy up and take note of what he is saying.
